Auto download works when approved credit card, paypal transactions take place. The majority of sales are approved instantly and the auto download is activated. There are exceptions though, possible fraud for example where the credit card processors places a hold on a transaction will disable the auto download feature. Online checks is another example of a transaction that will disable the auto download feature as online checks could very well bounce.

Any items purchased that did not pass merchant approval will disable the auto download feature. You must then contact the customer and/or send the product manually. This standard security is to protect you from potential online fraud. Even though approved transactions will be eligible for autodownload, it is advisable to review your orders.
