Flash Effects - Add Some Excitement
So what are Flash Effects? - Flash Effects are animated clips that can be used in many ways, all you need is just a little imagination. These effects range from snow to tv static and can be used by themselves or in combination with other projects. Creative websites should catch visitors attention immediately, and these effects surely do the trick. We have creating these effects in a particle engine based software and exported them as individual jpg's. Next we imported those jpegs in the flash timeline inside a movieclip. The reason we wrap them up in movieclip is so that you are able to drag and drop that clip wherever you wish on the stage. We did all the work for you, you just need to complete one simple step to see your animation in action. Flash effects are used by thousands to make web projects come alive. Modyfing Flash Effects - You may notice that some our flash effects load a little slow, this is because you are viewing the full animation timeline. You have the option to cut down the frames for a shorter loop, bringing down the load time, you have full control. You can even change the transparency of the movieclip so that it blends in to any backround you choose. This is especially helpful for those that just want to create that subtle effect. You can also change the tint of the movieclip effect through your properties tool panel. Again, we sell you the full source .fla so you have total control of how much you want to chop up and modify your effects.
Flash Effects and Actionscripting?- Our flash effects require no actionscripting. These animations are based on raster images so there is no complicated code to learn, just simple drag and drop. Animations are based on a loop basis, so if you want to jsut let it run once through the timeline, you will need to add a stop action which can be added easily through the actions panel.
Flash Effects Worth it?- That depends what your main focus is. If you have a plain informational website, adding flash effects may be overkill. If you want to engage your audience, these cool effects is just the ticket. Not only are they affordable, but they can be reused over and over.
Other Flash Effects Options
The biggest question asked when it comes to our flash effects is whether they be can resized. The answer to this is yes. Since our flash effects are nested in a movieclip, they can be resized to your liking. The only issue is that if you resize these clips too big, you may see some pixelation. These are not vector effects, so these will not look sharp playing full screen, they should be used close to original demo size. We recommend that the framerate of your movie is set at 30fps, the default number for a Flash document is 12fps, so you will need to change this. Change this setting by going to Modify > Document, change 12 to 30. You will find that changing to 30fps will make your animations and general flow of your website flow nicely. I personally think Flash should come with a default of 30fps.
Software Needed to Modify Effects?
Again, just like our website templates, our flash effects will need Flash software to edit.
