We are going to create a motion tween using text. Lets get started.

Step1. Bring up your tools panel and choose the text tool. (T)

Step2. After you create the text, select it with the selecion tool. Make sure the text is in the middle of the stage.

Step3. Next, take a look at the timeline and select the first frame. Press F5 to add frames to frame 30.

Step4. Select the first frame and right-click on it. Choose motion tween.

Step5. Select frame 30 and press F6. Your timeline should look similar to the image below, please verify before going on.

Step6. Next, we will add a stop action on the last frame. Select frame 30 and press F9. Your actions panel should be up, double click on the "stop" icon. Verify that the timeline looks like the image below.

Step7. With the first frame of the timeline slected, move the text to the bottom of the stage.

Step8. Frame 1 should still be selected, bring up the properties panel (Ctrl+F3). Choose The Alpha Option.

Step9. Bring the Alpha level to 0%

Now test the movie (Ctrl+Enter). You should have a text animation that moves from the bottom of the stage to the middle fading in.
