Litewave 3D

I took Litewave in College and we used Litewave for 3D, and you can make some crazy shiz with it. Hollywood quality but the only problem is that you must be fluent in Math equations. So...I hit a brick wall. Good luck.

Actually the new Battlestar Gallactica show is fully done in Lightwave. I have used Lightwave for a few years now at work, and it is definitely one of the best straightforward modeling tools I have used. We also use Maya and 3DSMax, which have major advantages in UVing and more in depth features, but I have a soft spot for the straightforward and powerful modeling structure that Lightwave offers. I highly recommend the program for anyone who is just into making static or texture models for games or website graphics. I do have to admit though that 3DSMax and Maya have much greater flexibility when you want to add animations, or do high-detail skinning on dynamic models. If you are into organics and terrain modeling for scenes I recommend Mudbox.

Thank you very much ^^ Yes, I will be getting all of my stuff up again soon. I don't have a lot of space in my schedule right now, so I am just getting new functionality up as I get time. I also have to find all of my old content again and rework it for the new site. I am having a ball learning flash and getting stuff working though.

I have mostly been messing around with a new Quake 4 MP level in my spare time. I just updated the current project section of the site to cover the new level. I am trying to balance my time between working on website content updates and level editing.
I am also trying to devise a way to manipulate the wormhole in the left wall of our laundry room to extend the usable amount of time in an evening so that I can actually get more done outside of work O.o So far I have only managed to wire the thing into a wall switch that apparently does nothing.....Or perhaps there is some poor dude in Japan somewhere that has been stuck in a single evening for 3 months. In any case....I am keeping busy

I think that god only gives gifted people portals to other dimensions in hopes that we find a way to inhabit the other side since this world has already failed. The only problem is the other side has no Taco Bell or any kind of pornography. So I think I'll be staying here.

Tip: If you want to jump right into the Dinosaur area, spinkle some Tide on the gate.

LOL. Nice! I might try the tide thing, but only after I find a way to can relativity so that I can use it on people during embarrassing moments. I mean how cool would it be to can your buddy's worst day that dragged on at slightly less than the speed that it would take for him to drag himself with his own tongue up the empire state building. Then pop open a can of 1 minute takes 3 hours on your buddy as he trips in mid-gate on a sidewalk in a highly populated area. That has to have more market value than the pet rock....

Oh no hehe. I work at Raven, but a lot of people worked on the new site. The raven was modeled by one of my good friends a few cubicles away and animated by several other guys. The art was done in house as well. Most of the Flash content was farmed out, but I am not sure to who. All of the art, animation, and modeling was a multiple person effort from all 3 of Raven's development teams. It was really awesome to see the pieces coming together ^^ Thanks for the compliment. I will pass it on to everyone.

I was wondering about that Blacksite game. Tell me what you think of it once you get into to it a bit. The marketing for it looked pretty cool.
I am currently messing around with Assassin's Creed and playing through Halo 3 again. I plan on getting Mass Effect next.

Ive been so damn busy helping get products online and with marketing, but you HAVE to take breaks and games are my perfect outlet.

I am currently playing Painkiller Overdose. The game is NOT smart, but it's fun in a Serious Sam kind of way. The original Painkiller was better.

wow....prettty detailed stuff..is this part of the quake system?

Yeah. This is a multiplayer level that I am just working on here and there in my spare time. The level currently runs as a deathmatch map with the retail version of Quake4. I really just don't get enough of it at work I guess O.O hehe
I have some ideas for a full scale Single Player level as well, but the amount of time it will require has put it on the backburner for me. I am definitely going to do it though at some point.

Dont bother with Blacksite Area 51.....part of the challenge is to finish the game in the midst of it crashing on you all the time.....too bad.

Yeah :( Thanks for the heads-up on that one. It is really to bad that some games get out there without enough internal and external bug testing. Quality assurance is a very good thing ^^
