The Flash Unexpected File Format Error- This window will pop-up from within the program if it finds that you are runnning an outdated version of Flash. The newest version of Flash is currently Flash CS3, but we won't be upgrading to that for awhile, so you should be safe with Flash 8 for at least the next 6 months. Templates - Save Your Work
The first thing somebody naturally does when opening templates is to dig in head first, and almost every single time the template gets messed up somehow. No big deal, everybody makes mistakes developing especially in Flash when even if one variable is off, the whole thing goes to hell and your original working document is toast.
The best thing to do before working on your templates, is to either copy and paste your downloaded zip files somewhere on your hard drive, USB stick, or burn them on disc. Burning your templates on disc is what we recommend.
Get into the habit to save your templates with a filename you can remember like adding the date with your filename, it is bad pratice to keep overwriting your original file.
